Print QR codes

Download an asset's QR code to print it.

Each asset has one QR code. It links to /@handle/IDENTIFIER, built from your workspace's handle and the asset's identifier.

  1. Open Assets and select the asset.
  2. Select the QR code icon (Show QR code) in the asset's toolbar.
  3. Check the link under the code. Select Copy link to copy it, or Open link to test it.
  4. Select Download SVG. The file is named after the identifier, for example PRESS-042.svg.
  5. Print the SVG on a label at the size you need, and attach it to the machine.

Result: a scan of the label opens the asset's page.

Before you print many codes:

  • Choose your workspace handle first. Former handles keep redirecting, but the printed link carries the handle you have at the time.
  • Changing an asset's identifier later breaks its printed codes. Renaming the asset or moving it to another space does not. See QR codes and public pages.
