Connect SharePoint, OneDrive, or Google Drive

Connect a provider once, then link its folders in the Library.

Your manuals and drawings can stay where they are. You connect the provider once for the workspace, then link the folders you need. You need to be an owner or admin.

Connect the provider

  1. Open the workspace menu, select Workspace settings, then Connections.
  2. Next to Microsoft 365 (SharePoint and OneDrive) or Google Drive (My Drive and shared drives), select Connect.
  3. Sign in with the provider account that can read the folders, and allow access. For Microsoft 365, use an account that can also edit the folders where people add files from Machine QR.

Result: the provider shows Connected. If it shows Not configured, the server has no client ID and secret for that provider yet, and you cannot connect it.

  1. Open Library in the sidebar, then Folders.
  2. Select New source and enter a name, for example "Maintenance manuals".
  3. Under Stored in, choose the connected provider.
  4. Under Folder, find the drive or folder and choose it.
  5. Select Create.

Result: the linked folder appears in the Library. Its files stay at the provider. Members read them through the workspace's connection, whatever their own rights at the provider.

Next steps

  • Show the folder on assets, asset types, or spaces with Link folder on their Documents tab. See Folders.
  • If the folder already has one subfolder per customer, site, or machine, map its folder levels.

If the provider stops accepting the connection, it shows Reconnect required. Select Reconnect. Disconnect keeps the linked folders in the Library, but members cannot browse them until you connect again.
