Members and roles
Invite members, and what owners, admins, and members can do.
Roles
Every member of a workspace has one role.
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything an admin can, and manage other owners |
| Admin | Manage members (except owners), settings, the Library, teams, and every team's work orders |
| Member | Work with spaces, assets, and records; work orders only through a team role |
Team roles, Viewer and Contributor, add access per team. See Teams and space access and Roles and permissions.
Invitations
Owners and admins invite people in Workspace settings, Members, with Invite: full name, email, and role. Admins cannot invite owners.
- The person gets an email with a link. They join with that email address, by password or with a sign-in provider.
- An invitation works once and expires after 48 hours.
- Open invitations show as Invited in the member list. Owners and admins can resend or revoke them.
Suspending and removing members
- Suspend access blocks the member from the workspace at once. Their membership and role are kept, and Restore access brings them back with the same role.
- Remove member deletes the membership and role. It cannot be undone. Their team roles are removed too.
- Send reset link emails a password reset link to the member.
You cannot suspend or remove yourself. Records and history a member created stay in the workspace.
The last owner
A workspace must keep at least one owner. The last owner cannot be removed, suspended, or given another role. Make another member an owner first.
