Setup packs
The setup packs that add demo structure, inboxes, and switches.
The setup sheet
A new workspace opens with the setup sheet, Welcome to Machine QR. It offers setup packs: ready-made structure for a kind of work. Select Setup at the bottom of the sidebar to open it again later.
Available packs
| Pack | Adds |
|---|---|
| Maintenance | A plant (Munich Plant) with halls, lines, and five demo machines; asset types for production machines, presses, conveyors, and utilities; the asset status Planned stop; a first team, Maintenance; a Work requests inbox. Turns on Teams. |
| Field service | Two demo customers, one with two sites, and five machines; asset types for filling and packaging machines; customer properties such as contract status, contract end, and main contact; a first team, Service. Turns on Teams. |
| Facility management | A campus with a building, floors, and five demo assets; asset types for HVAC, elevators, fire safety, and lighting. |
| Public links | Turns on public pages and visitor registration, so anyone scanning a code sees the asset's public page. |
| Help desk | A Help desk inbox for customer requests by email and web. |
Demo assets have identifiers that start with DEMO-. A pack's first team is created only if the workspace has no active team yet. A pack's inbox gets web and email channels, with you assigned.
Installing a pack
Select one or more packs and select Install. Packs only add: they never change or remove data you already have, and any combination installs cleanly. Each pack installs once and then shows Installed. Packs install their spaces regardless of your space kind rules.
To delete demo data later, delete its spaces and assets like any others.
Hiding setup
When you no longer need it, turn off Setup in Workspace settings, Features. It removes Setup from the sidebar. What you installed stays. Turn it on again to bring the sidebar entry back.
Who can
Only owners and admins see the setup sheet and install packs. See Set up a workspace for the first steps.
